Talk about capping your first career major victory in style.

J.J. Spaun just needed a two-putt from 64 feet on Oakmont's 18th hole to win the U.S. Open. However, the 34-year-old had other plans and instead provided one of the loudest finishes in event history.

The incredible putt finished off an insane back-nine 32 for Spaun and cemented his closing stretch as one of the best in recent memory.

"Just to finish it off like that is just a dream," Spaun admitted afterward, according to ASAP Sports. "You watch other people do it. You see the Tiger chip, you see Nick Taylor's putt, you see crazy moments. To have my own moment like that at this championship, I'll never forget this moment for the rest of my life."

Spaun bogeyed five of his first six holes Sunday and made the turn with a 5-over 40. He was seemingly out of the tournament until a 97-minute weather delay soaked Oakmont with torrential rains. While the rest of the field struggled after the restart of play, Spaun thrived in the wet conditions and charged to the title in epic fashion.
