The Philadelphia 76ers re-signed veteran guard Kyle Lowry to a one-year deal, his agent told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Lowry will be entering his 20th NBA campaign and has spent parts of the past two seasons with his hometown club.

He joined Philadelphia in February 2024 after reaching a buyout with the Charlotte Hornets.

"Kyle's championship experience and Hall of Fame resume speaks for itself," 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey said in a statement, per Forbes' Adam Zagoria. "He is a proven floor general with tremendous knowledge of the game that is a resource to everyone in the organization.

"It's only fitting that his 20th NBA season will be right here in Philadelphia, the city he calls home."

Lowry quickly became a key part of the 76ers' rotation, averaging eight points and shooting 40.4% from deep across 23 appearances in 2023-24.

However, the 39-year-old struggled last season, posting a career-low 3.9 points on 35% shooting over 35 contests.
