The New York Jets are signing wide receiver Garrett Wilson to a four-year, $130-million extension that includes $90 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal marks the first time in NFL history that a receiver secured a contract averaging more than $31 million per year after playing only three NFL seasons, notes Schefter.

Wilson's new $32.5-million average annual salary ranks fifth among wideouts behind Ja'Marr Chase ($40.2 million), Justin Jefferson ($35 million), CeeDee Lamb ($34 million), and DK Metcalf ($33 million).

Now signed through 2030, Wilson has topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three campaigns despite the Jets' inconsistencies at the quarterback position. He's caught passes from eight different QBs and is projected to have a new passer in Justin Fields this coming season.

The 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year set career highs with 101 receptions, 1,104 yards, and seven touchdowns in 2024. Wilson has played in every game since New York drafted him 10th overall in '22.

The Jets' 2022 draft class also features two-time All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, who's next in line to sign a massive contract extension in New York. Edge rusher Jermaine Johnson was taken in the first round that year as well. Although Johnson played in only two games in 2024 due to an Achilles injury, the team exercised his fifth-year option in April.
