Report: AC Milan lead chase for Brescia's Tonali as Inter shift focus
AC Milan are in advanced discussions with Brescia for the services of midfield prodigy Sandro Tonali, according to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.
A bid has reportedly been submitted that includes a €10-million loan spell plus an additional €20-million option to buy. Brescia will also reportedly receive a percentage of a future sell for the thrice-capped Italian international.
Tonali has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, while Juventus were also reportedly interested in the revered regista who's drawn comparison to Andrea Pirlo.
In reality, Tonali is more of a powerful runner and ball carrier than new Juve boss Pirlo, though the 20-year-old does boast a refined passing range for a player of his age.
According to Romano, Inter are considering other options. Barcelona agitator Arturo Vidal remains Antonio Conte's No. 1 backup plan, while Tottenham's Tanguy Ndombele is also being monitored.
The Guardian reported in late July that Spurs would be willing to accept a reduced €50-million from Inter for Ndombele after the Frenchman fell out of favor with Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese manager's appointment in November.
