Juventus exec: Paul Pogba has told the club he'll stay
One of Europe's hottest commodities, midfielder Paul Pogba, has reportedly told Juventus that he's staying put despite interest from some of the continent's biggest clubs.
Juventus' director general, Giuseppe Marotta, admits that he has spoken with the 23-year-old Le Havre academy product about his tenure with the club, and after speculation from the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona, the angular French international isn't going anywhere.
"Pogba is a Juventus player and still has an ongoing contract with us," Marotta offered, according to ESPN FC.
"Plus he has also told us about his intention to stay with us. All the conditions are there for him to continue with Juventus for the upcoming years."
Pogba, who joined the four-time defending Serie A champs in 2012 after an underwhelming spell at Manchester United, is under contract with the club until 2019.
"The Juventus jersey is something you honour right until the end. It is not a foregone conclusion yet that he will stay at Juventus, because nothing is ever guaranteed in football, but it is highly likely that he will stay put."
With one eye on this summer's Euro 2016 tournament in his homeland and one on a domestic double, Pogba has appeared in 28 league matches this season, with six goals and seven assists for Max Allegri's table-topping side.
