Italian side Fiorentina advanced to the Europa League round of 32 with a 1-0 victory over Belenenses at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday.
Khouma Babacar's 67th minute strike was enough to secure second-place in Group I, three points shy of Swiss outfit FC Basel.
Runner's-up in the 1990 UEFA Cup, La Viola will now await Monday's draw to determine its opponents for the first round of the knockout phase.
