PSV's Jeroen Zoet, Maxime Lestienne arrested for roles in fight
PSV Eindhoven's Jeroen Zoet and Maxime Lestienne were arrested early Sunday morning in Eindhoven after celebrating a 3-2 league win over Zwolle at a local party venue.
"Jeroen Zoet and Maxime Lestienne were involved in an incident at the Stratumseind in Eindhoven on Saturday night," a statement on the club's website reads. "Both players were brought in for questioning by police."
Lestienne was reportedly arrested for his part in a fight, while shot-stopper Zoet was apprehended for obstructing police officers while they attempted to arrest his teammate.
"PSV will discuss the matter with both players on Sunday and deal with it internally because it concerns a private matter," the statement reads.
Lestienne returned from a 10-week absence for Saturday's match after an illness took the lives of both his parents within a six-week span.
