USC lands 5-star guard Jazzy Davidson
Five-star recruit Jazzy Davidson has committed to play for USC, she told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The 6-foot-2 guard chose the Trojans over finalists UCLA, UConn, TCU, Duke, and Texas, according to Dushawn London of 247 Sports.
Davidson is the No. 3 ranked player in her class, according to ESPN. She has been named the Gatorade Oregon Girls Basketball Player of the Year for three consecutive seasons.
"(My visit to USC) was 10 out of 10," Davidson had previously stated, according to On3's Talia Goodman. "The campus is beautiful. It's a great school educationally, which is really important to me. I met the players and JuJu (Watkins) was my host, so just getting to meet her and getting to know the players was really cool."
Davidson will form a dynamic duo with Watkins in the backcourt. Watkins was named to the All-Pac-12 team, won Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, and broke the NCAA's freshman scoring record with 920 points last season.
USC won the Pac-12 Tournament and was rewarded with a top seed in the NCAA Tournament before losing in the Elite Eight to UConn.
