The Toronto Tempo opted for UCLA guard Kiki Rice with the No. 6 overall pick in Monday's WNBA draft.
Rice is headed to Toronto after a decorated spell with the Bruins in which she started 143 games across four seasons. The talented point guard was twice named to the All-Big Ten first-team and was chosen as the Big Ten Tournament's Most Outstanding Player in March.
The 22-year-old is a modern floor general who thrives in pick-and-rolls and gets downhill in a hurry. She's also an excellent perimeter defender and three-level scorer. Rice has enough upside to become a high-level starter in the WNBA.
