Paris Saint-Germain and Ivory Coast full-back Serge Aurier is in the headlines again for the wrong reasons, this time after a throat-slitting gesture during Saturday's World Cup qualifier victory over Mali.
After his cross was booted into the Malian net by Salif Coulibaly for an own goal, an ebullient Aurier ran towards the touchline whilst pantomiming the taboo display that saw the 23-year-old trend on Twitter.
This is just the latest incident marring the prodigious career of one of the continent's best right-backs. Last month, Aurier was sentenced to two months in prison for assaulting a police officer. Sentences of such a length are automatically commuted in France.
Last season, the Toulouse product was suspended by PSG for five weeks when video surfaced of Aurier making derogatory and homophobic comments towards then-manager Laurent Blanc
