Report: Lynx's Reeve confronted Sun players after Game 1 loss
Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve confronted Connecticut Sun players near their locker room following her club's Game 1 defeat Sunday, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Ben Pickman.
The reigning Coach and Executive of the Year reportedly objected to the way Connecticut celebrated winning the first game of the semifinal series.
Reeve "ran up" on Sun players, a source told Charania and Pickman, prompting arena security to step in.
The WNBA is reportedly aware of the situation.
"It's like the players always say, there's really competitive people - really competitive people in the playoffs," Reeves said when asked after Game 3 to comment on the reported incident, courtesy of SB Nation's Noa Dalzell.
After Friday's win, Minnesota can advance to its first WNBA Finals in seven years with a victory Sunday over Connecticut.
