Mabrey's technical foul on Clark upgraded to flagrant 2
The WNBA upgraded the technical foul on Connecticut Sun guard Marina Mabrey to a flagrant 2, the league told ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
Mabrey was originally assessed a technical for bowling over Caitlin Clark after the whistle midway through the third quarter of Tuesday's heated affair against the Indiana Fever.
The sequence occurred shortly after Connecticut guard Jacy Sheldon committed a flagrant-1 foul for poking Clark in the eye.
Clark and Sun veteran Tina Charles were also given technical fouls following a lengthy review by the officials.

Mabrey is now subject to a standard fine that comes with a flagrant-2 foul, adds Philippou.
Indiana reserve Sophie Cunningham received an additional fine for her involvement in a scuffle in the final minute of the contest, the WNBA confirmed to Chloe Peterson of IndyStar Sports.
The skirmish followed Cunningham's flagrant-2 foul on Sheldon.

Fever head coach Stephanie White slammed the referees postgame for allowing tempers to escalate.
Neither White nor Connecticut head coach Rachid Meziane has been fined for criticizing the officiating, according to Philippou.
