Thanks to a dominant performance in the women's skicross, Canada has now tied its all-time record for medals in a Winter Olympics with 26.
With Kelsey Serwa's gold and Brittany Phelan's silver on Friday morning in PyeongChang, Canada tied the record it set at Vancouver 2010, and broke the record for most medals on foreign soil, which was previously 25, held at Sochi 2014.
It likely won't be long before the Canadian team breaks the record of 26, as there are numerous chances to reach the podium on Day 14 in South Korea.
Kaetlyn Osmond will get the first chance to bring home the 27th medal in the women's figure skating event. She enters the free skate program on Friday morning in third position.
Should Osmond fail to medal, it will be Kevin Koe's men's curling rink who have the next opportunity with the bronze medal match at 1:35 a.m. ET.
The Canadian men's hockey team faces Germany in the semifinals with a guaranteed medal coming their way with a victory, while snowboard stars Max Parrot and Mark McMorris take to the big air event.
