"We could not be more excited to unveil our new team identities," chairwoman and owner Dany Garcia said in a statement. "Countless hours of creative sessions and collaboration went into bringing these team brands to life. Each team's identity represents the fabric of their local community while also embodying the XFL's vision and ethos: they are authentic, dynamic, modern, and unapologetically bold."
Wade Phillips, Hines Ward, and Bob Stoops are among the notable head coaches assigned to the eight franchises.
The XFL is scheduled to relaunch on Feb. 18, 2023, after being purchased by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Garcia, and RedBird Capital Partners. The league, previously owned by former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, returned for a second iteration in 2020 before being forced to shut down operations midseason due to COVID-19.
