The favorites
Scott Dixon (3-1) leads the pack. A $100 wager would pay out $300 if the 40-year-old comes through.
Dixon has three outright wins and a couple more top-five finishes over six races in the current IndyCar Series. He won the Indy 500 back in 2008 and has five championships to his credit.
Marco Andretti (5-1) enters the weekend struggling. He finished 14th or worse in his first five races on the current circuit before registering a 10th-place finish at Iowa Speedway in June. Andretti is still looking for his first Indy 500 victory.
Trending up
Although Will Power (8-1) doesn't have an outright win during the current series, he does have a pair of second-place finishes over his previous four tries. The 39-year-old Aussie took home the Indy 500 in 2018 in the Verizon Car and there's certainly some good value on this number.
Trending down
You can probably cross Conor Daly (20-1) off your list. The Indiana native hasn't had an advantage competing in his home state: Daly's average finish over his last four Indy 500 races is 22.5, as he hasn't placed better than 10th.
