Federico Dimarco will miss Inter Milan's Champions League clash at Feyenoord after the Serie A leaders said on Monday that the Italy wing-back had suffered a thigh injury.

In a statement, Inter said that tests carried out on Monday "revealed that he had strained a muscle in his right thigh" during Saturday's 1-1 draw at league title rivals Napoli.

Italian media reported that Dimarco will be out of action for around three weeks, meaning he will miss both legs of Inter's last-16 tie with Feyenoord, with the first leg being held in Rotterdam on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old is also at risk of missing both of Italy's Nations League quarter-final fixtures with Germany later this month.

Dimarco's injury is a blow for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, who now has just one wing-back, Denzel Dumfries, available, with Matteo Darmian, Carlos Augusto and Nicola Zalewski also injured.

Inter lead Serie A by a point from Napoli after the pair's exciting draw at the weekend, with Atalanta a further two points back in third.
