The Milwaukee Brewers agreed to a one-year deal with left-hander Jose Quintana, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.

Quintana tossed 170 1/3 innings for the New York Mets last season, authoring a 3.75 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 31 starts. He also ranked fourth in ground-ball percentage (47.4%) among NL starters and was in the 89th percentile for fastball run value during the 2024 campaign.

The 36-year-old is a 13-year veteran who has pitched for seven teams throughout his career, including stops in the NL Central with the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Quintana should join Freddy Peralta, Nestor Cortes, Aaron Civale, and Tobias Myers in the Brewers' rotation.

Milwaukee also has Aaron Ashby as an option, while Brandon Woodruff is expected to return this season after missing the entire 2024 campaign due to a shoulder injury.
