Watch: Rays ball boy saves fans with incredible leaping catch

Spectators at Tropicana Field need not fear being hit by baseballs traveling at ridiculous speeds thanks to this Tampa Bay Rays ball boy.

Our hero in question - identified by the Rays' Twitter account as Bobby Walker - left his seat by the Rays' bullpen Thursday to make a ridiculous leaping grab on a line drive Royals catcher Salvador Perez absolutely smoked in the second inning. The catch likely saved fans in the field-level seats from serious injury had the ball reached the stands. Even Perez took a moment to step out of the box and applaud the play.

Perhaps the ball boy could take some time to remind the suddenly error-prone Kevin Kiermaier how to play defense at the Trop.
