Orioles sign Nick Gordon to minor-league deal

The Baltimore Orioles announced Tuesday they agreed to a minor-league contract with utility man Nick Gordon.
Gordon, 29, struggled mightily with the Miami Marlins in 2024. He slashed .227/.258/.369 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs in 95 games while predominantly playing the outfield.
The Minnesota Twins drafted Gordon fifth overall in 2014. His best season came in 2022 when he hit 28 doubles with a .743 OPS (111 OPS+) in a career-high 136 games.
Gordon has experience playing all outfield positions, as well as second base, third base, and shortstop at the MLB level.
His career OPS is .669 (85 OPS+) through four seasons.
