The New York Mets placed left-hander Steven Matz and right-hander Dellin Betances on the 10-day injured list, the team announced Sunday.

Matz is dealing with shoulder discomfort and Betances has tightness in his right lat.

The 29-year-old Matz has struggled this season and was recently moved to the bullpen. He owns an 8.63 ERA and has allowed nine home runs in 24 innings.

Betances, too, has had his issues this season, his first with the Mets. The 32-year-old threw a bizarre wild pitch on Saturday, which gifted his former team, the New York Yankees, a walk-off win.

Betances owns a 6.10 ERA and has only eight strikeouts compared to seven walks in 10 1/3 innings. He signed a one-year, $10.5-million contract with the Mets in December.

Right-handers Drew Smith and Franklyn Kilome were recalled from the team's alternate training site in corresponding moves.
