Pirates non-tender De La Cruz, Joe, Stratton
The Pittsburgh Pirates non-tendered outfielder Bryan De La Cruz, outfielder/first baseman Connor Joe, and right-hander Hunter Stratton, the team announced Friday.
De La Cruz was projected to earn $4 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility, according to MLB Trade Rumors. The Pirates acquired the 27-year-old from the Miami Marlins at last season's trade deadline.
De La Cruz struggled with the Pirates, registering a .514 OPS with three home runs and 17 RBIs in 44 games.
Joe, meanwhile, was projected to make $3.2 million in arbitration. The 32-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Pirates, hitting 20 home runs with 78 RBIs and a 99 OPS+ in 256 contests.
Stratton, 28, posted a 3.58 ERA with 33 strikeouts and one save in 37 2/3 innings in 2024.
