The Washington Nationals and outfielder/first baseman Joey Gallo agreed to a one-year, $5-million contract, a source told MASN's Mark Zuckerman.
The pact includes an additional $1 million in performance bonuses, according to Andrew Golden of the Washington Post.
Gallo went deep 21 times with 40 RBIs and a .741 OPS over 111 games for the Minnesota Twins in 2023.
The two-time All-Star struggled over the last two seasons after recording a combined 151 homers between 2017-2021.
Gallo, 30, has also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers over his nine-year career.
