New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone is keeping top prospect Jasson Domínguez top of mind for a promotion despite not calling him up with rosters expanding in September.

"(Domínguez) will remain in the conversation moving forward," Boone said Sunday, per The Athletic's Chris Kirschner. "When he comes up here, you're going to want to play him every day. He'll continue to remain in that conversation."

The Yankees reinstated first baseman Anthony Rizzo from the injured list and recalled relievers Ron Marinaccio, Scott Effross, and outfielder Duke Ellis ahead of Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Domínguez is hitting .306 with five home runs, 18 RBIs, and an .827 OPS in 37 games at Triple-A this season.

"It's important for him to continue to play right now," Boone said.

Domínguez made one appearance for the Yankees in 2024, going hitless in four at-bats at the Little League Classic in August. The 21-year-old made his MLB debut last season, registering a .980 OPS with four home runs in eight games before sustaining a torn UCL that eventually required Tommy John surgery.
