Rangers' plaque for Judge's 62nd HR stolen again; team won't replace it

The Texas Rangers' commemoration of New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge's historic 62nd home run is gone for good.

For the second time in as many years, a plaque that the Rangers installed to commemorate Judge setting the American League single-season home-run record at Globe Life Field was stolen from the ballpark. The marker rested just above the left-field wall, in front of the first row of seats at the spot where the milestone homer landed.

The Rangers replaced the marker once after it was first stolen at some point last year. This time, however, they have no plans to do so, a team official told WFAN's Justin Shackil.

Texas originally unveiled the plaque in April 2023 during the Yankees' last visit to Arlington. It detailed Judge's historic homer, hit off Rangers pitcher Jesus Tinoco in the first inning on Oct. 4, 2022, under the heading "Judge's seat."

Two years later, Judge is taking another serious run at his record, as he entered Tuesday sitting at 51 homers. That puts the 32-year-old on pace to finish with 60, which would make him the third player ever to record multiple 60-homer seasons.
