The St. Louis Cardinals will consider trading veteran third baseman Nolan Arenado this offseason, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Arenado has three years and $52 million remaining on the eight-year, $260-million contract he signed with the Colorado Rockies in 2019. The deal carries a full no-trade clause.

The 33-year-old slashed .272/.325/.394 with 16 home runs, 23 doubles, and 71 RBIs across 152 games in 2024.

St. Louis has missed the postseason in consecutive years and is coming off an 83-79 campaign in 2024.

Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak is entering his final year in the position. He's set to step aside for Chaim Bloom, who will take over baseball operations after the 2025 season.
