Nathan Eovaldi is drawing interest from a couple of contenders.

The Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles are interested in the veteran right-hander, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

The Braves are in need of starting pitching with Max Fried and Charlie Morton both free agents and Spencer Strider not expected to pitch in the early parts of the 2025 campaign after undergoing elbow surgery last April.

Meanwhile, the Orioles would like to fortify a starting rotation that already includes Zach Eflin and Grayson Rodriguez but is without Corbin Burnes, who's also a free agent.

Eovaldi has been a model of consistency over the past four seasons, posting an ERA under 3.87 and throwing over 100 innings in each campaign. He recorded 12 wins, a 3.83 FIP, and 170 2/3 innings pitched with the Texas Rangers in 2024.

Eovaldi turned down a $20-million player option with the Rangers to become a free agent.
