Mookie Betts expects to be in the lineup come Opening Day.

The shortstop played five innings during the Los Angeles Dodgers' final spring training game against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday and walked away feeling confident he'll suit up for the home opener Thursday.

"I'm perfectly fine, perfectly normal," Betts told reporters.

Tuesday's contest was Betts' first action since March 9 due to an illness that caused him to lose around 20 pounds. He missed the Dodgers' first two official games of the season in Japan, though he made the trip with his teammates.

The 32-year-old hasn't performed well in spring training when he has played, slashing .214/.250/.321 with three RBIs in 28 at-bats.
