UFC 223 loses 3 fights after McGregor's tantrum

Jayne Kamin-Oncea / USA TODAY Sports

The UFC was forced to cancel three bouts scheduled for UFC 223 in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Saturday night following Conor McGregor's violent attack on a bus carrying several fighters.

Michael Chiesa sustained facial injuries that will prevent him from taking part in his lightweight match versus Anthony Pettis, sources told Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com.

Ray Borg was supposed to take on Brandon Moreno in a flyweight battle, but he began experiencing eye issues from glass particles and won't be able to fight, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Featherweight Alex Caceres is also off the card, as the promotion won't be able to find him a last-minute replacement for Artem Lobov, who was involved in the episode with McGregor.

In what UFC president Dana White labeled the "most disgusting thing" in the history of the promotion, McGregor invaded the Barclays Center on Thursday and threw a dolly at a bus holding a group of fighters heading to their hotel from UFC 223 media day, shattering at least one window.
