Top 5 moments at Oracle Arena

Regardless of the result of this year's NBA Finals, the series will mark the last time a game is played at venerable Oracle Arena.

The Golden State Warriors are moving across the Bay Bridge to the new Chase Center in San Francisco next season, which closes the book on a building that has hosted its share of legendary basketball moments over the past 50 years.

Here are the five best moments:

2000 - Slam Dunk contest

Nineteen years before the Toronto Raptors punched their ticket to The Finals, the franchise experienced perhaps its greatest moment on Feb. 12, 2000, at what was then known as The Arena in Oakland. On that night, Vince Carter put the Raptors on the NBA map and singlehandedly resurrected the All-Star weekend Slam Dunk contest with a performance for the ages.

2007 - 'We Believe' Warriors

The 2006-07 Warriors are one of only five No. 8 seeds in NBA playoff history to upset the first seed in the opening round - in this case, the role of Goliath was played by the 67-win Dallas Mavericks.

Golden State eliminated Dallas at Oracle in Game 6, and Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki famously put a hole in an arena wall during the series. He later autographed it, and the section of damaged plaster will make the move with the Warriors to their new home.

2015 - Klay goes for 37 in a quarter

The Splash Brothers' exploits in Oakland are well-chronicled, but on Jan. 23, 2015, Klay Thompson took them to new heights. Thompson exploded for an NBA-record 37 points in one quarter, going 13-for-13 in the third against the Sacramento Kings. He finished with 52 points in a 126-101 Dubs win.

2016 - LeBron's swat, Kyrie's shot seals Cavs' title

The last two minutes of Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals will forever live in Cleveland lore. LeBron James' chase-down block on Andre Iguodala gave way to Kyrie Irving's tie-breaking trey. With their 93-89 win, the Cavaliers clinched Cleveland's first major professional sports title in 52 years.

2017 - Warriors finally win championship at home

A year after blowing a 3-1 lead in the Finals to the Cavaliers, the Warriors routed Cleveland in Game 5 at Oracle to capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy on home court for the first time. All of Golden State's other titles - 1975, 2015, and 2018 - were clinched on the road.

Flo Rida's "Good Feeling," which is played at the arena after Warriors wins, carried some extra significance that night.
