The Washington Wizards are currently tied for the NBA's worst record, but that hasn't diminished Bradley Beal's commitment to the organization.

Beal has expressed a desire to remain in the nation's capital and hasn't requested a trade, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Fred Katz.

The Wizards have indicated they have no interest in dealing the two-time All-Star, Charania and Katz add.

Beal is also reportedly frustrated and confused about his portrayal in the media. The former No. 3 overall pick apparently feels he's being nitpicked for electing to stay put in Washington.

Beal agreed to a two-year, $72-million contract extension with the Wizards in October 2019. The new deal begins next season and includes a $37.3-million player option for 2022-23.

Beal is averaging an NBA-leading 34.9 points, 5.1 boards, and 4.7 assists through 15 appearances this season. He's the franchise's all-time leader in made 3-point field goals.
