Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter is set to undergo surgery to repair an injured tendon in his right wrist and will be out for approximately eight weeks, the team announced Sunday.
Hunter, 23, suffered the injury on Nov. 8 against the Golden State Warriors.
In 11 appearances - all starts - Hunter has averaged 10.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in just under 28 minutes per game.
Even after Sunday's upset win over the Milwaukee Bucks, the Hawks are only 5-9 (.357) to start the season, third-worst in the Eastern Conference.
