Warriors star Stephen Curry will miss Golden State's next two games after being diagnosed with a left ankle sprain, the team announced Monday.

An MRI showed no structural damage. The 36-year-old will be re-evaluated Friday prior to the team's five-game road trip.

The Warriors play the New Orleans Pelicans at home Tuesday and Wednesday.

Curry hurt his ankle in Sunday's 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The 10-time All-Star appeared to suffer the injury late in the third quarter. He briefly returned to the game in the fourth quarter but aggravated the ankle issue and exited for good with 7:55 remaining.

Curry is averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in his 18th year in the Association. Golden State is 2-1 to start the season.
