Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr didn't feel the most welcome stepping onto the court at Toyota Center for Wednesday's NBA Cup matchup against the Houston Rockets.

Kerr joked ahead of the game that the red court made him feel as though he was entering the netherworld.

"I told one of the coaches that it felt like I was descending into the depths of hell," Kerr said, per Jackson Gatlin of Locked On Rockets. "Deep red hue on the floor, it's a little disconcerting. I thought I had been better in my life. I didn't think I deserved that fate."

The Rockets defeated the Warriors 91-90 to advance to the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas, where they'll face the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was the Rockets' first win against the Warriors since Feb. 20, 2020.

Golden State will be back in action Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks.
