Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo is out indefinitely after suffering a left great toe injury against the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 15, the team announced Monday.

DiVincenzo underwent an MRI which revealed a Grade 3 left great toe sprain. He and the team are seeking a second opinion to determine the best course of action.

Minnesota acquired DiVincenzo from the New York Knicks in an offseason blockbuster trade featuring Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Villanova product averaged 11 points, 3.7 boards, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals across 40 appearances.

DiVincenzo was hitting his stride after being moved into the T-Wolves' starting lineup, tallying 17.5 points per contest and shooting 42.1% from deep over his last six appearances.

DiVincenzo missed the past two games ahead of Monday's injury announcement.
