Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was fined $75,000 for twice making an inappropriate gesture on the court, the NBA announced Friday.

Morant made a gun gesture in a game against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday and repeated it during Thursday's win over the Miami Heat.

In the first instance, the Grizzlies guard and Warriors veteran Buddy Hield were handed offsetting technical fouls for the incident.

The NBA then warned Morant that the action could be interpreted in a negative and inappropriate light, but the league ruled the celebration wasn't intended to be violent.

Morant again made the gesture after knocking down a 3-pointer in the 1st quarter Thursday. He said postgame that he's been painted as a villain for the past two years. When asked if he enjoys being one, Morant added, "I love it."

The 25-year-old has been suspended twice in his career for showing a gun on social media.
