San Jose State's Maurice McKnight ejected for targeting

San Jose State's Maurice McKnight was ejected for targeting the head of Georgia State receiver Donovan Harden in Saturday night's Cure Bowl.

McKnight dropped his head into the Panthers receiver with 1:30 left in the game; the play was reviewed and the safety was kicked out of the contest.

Because the penalty occurred in the second half, McKnight will have to sit out the first half of his next game. Harden was not injured on the play.
