O.J. Simpson plans on living in Florida when he is released from a Nevada prison on parole later this year, but the state's attorney general certainly isn't on board with that idea.

In a letter sent to the Florida Department of Corrections secretary Julie L. Jones on Friday, attorney general Pam Bondi urged to tell Nevada officials that Simpson is not welcome in Florida.

"Floridians are well aware of Mr. Simpson's background, his wanton disregard for the lives of others, and of his scofflaw attitude with respect to the heinous acts for which he has been found civilly liable," Bondi said in the letter obtained by ESPN. "Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal."

While it's unclear where Simpson plans on living in Florida, his close friend Tom Scotto has offered his home in Naples. The former NFL legend lived in the state prior to his arrest in 2008 on armed robbery, kidnapping, and other charges.

He's eligible to be released on Sunday, but there's no definitive timetable on when he will actually be a free man.
