Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray exited practice early Monday after taking a shot to the head from defenseman Olli Maatta, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The 23-year-old is being evaluated by the team, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed.
An injury of any significance would be a big blow to the Penguins, as Murray has been stellar of late, going 9-0-1 in his last 10 starts. He's now 23-13-2 in 41 games with a .909 save percentage and 2.82 goals-against average.
