With the 52nd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz selected Purdue forward Vincent Edwards and reportedly traded the selection to the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Edwards should have a chance to stick in an NBA rotation as a bit of a poor man's Keita Bates-Diop with his versatility at either forward spot and ability to do a little bit of everything without elite athleticism or foot speed.

As the senior leader of a Boilermakers team that was a regular-season juggernaut in the Big Ten this year, Edwards averaged 14.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while posting a superb shooting triple slash of 48/40/83, which should translate to the more open NBA game.

Position: SF/PF

College Experience: Senior

What the analysts are saying

"Though Edwards supplied Purdue with a bit of everything as an undersized four-man, he does nothing on an elite level, and a lack of great explosiveness and burst off the dribble precludes him from being a surefire NBA contributor. He's a known commodity at this point, able to make open threes and rebound, but he may not be athletic enough to play as a small-ball forward against bigger, more athletic frontlines. Edwards does have a little bit of versatility on both ends and some feel for the game, but his success is contingent on finding the right team situation. He could be a good two-way contract option." - Jeremy Woo, Sports Illustrated
