Report: Raps optimistic Anunoby will return during Finals
The Toronto Raptors will need all hands on deck if they hope to dethrone the Golden State Warriors, and they might have another weapon to deploy against the two-time defending champs.
Toronto is quietly optimistic that forward OG Anunoby will be back at some point during the NBA Finals, league sources told Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.
Prior to Saturday's Game 6 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, Anunoby participated in some light on-court work.
The 21-year-old has been out of action since undergoing an emergency appendectomy on the eve of the NBA playoffs.
Anunoby averaged seven points per contest on 45.3 percent shooting during the regular season, and is one of the Raptors' most versatile defenders who would provide another option on the wing to oppose Kevin Durant should he return during the series.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals will tip off Thursday in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena.
