Giants' Judge may bench Tate: 'A lot of possibilities' for discipline
New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate may not be out of the doghouse just yet for comments made during Monday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Giants head coach Joe Judge held Tate out of Wednesday's practice and hasn't ruled out the possibility of benching him or making him inactive for Sunday's contest against Washington.
"I'm going to discuss a lot of possibilities today after practice," Judge told reporters Friday, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Tate was demonstrably unhappy with the number of targets headed his way against the Buccaneers, shouting, "Throw me the ball" after catching a late touchdown.
Tate's wife also shared her frustration in an Instagram story.
The 12-year pro has not had the year expected thus far. He's caught just 22 passes for 226 yards this season and has been targeted just six times over the past three games.
New York can part ways with the 32-year-old following the season in exchange for a dead cap hit of $4.7 million, according to Spotrac.
