Report: Manziel living with Josh Gordon, not Von Miller
Johnny Manziel's living arrangements continue to remain a mystery.
Manziel is reportedly not sharing a home with Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller - as the troubled quarterback stated Sunday - instead he's sharing an apartment with equally troubled Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, sources told ESPN.
Gordon remains suspended from the NFL indefinitely for multiple violations of the league's substance-abuse policy, so it's fair to question whether he's the best housemate for Manziel as he attempts to resurrect his NFL career.
Equally, Manziel's presence may not be doing Gordon any favors as he waits to hear the decision on his application for reinstatement. There's been speculation the NFL is waiting for Gordon to further prove his commitment to sobriety, so presumably being consistently linked to the party-loving Manziel is doing little to alleviate the league's concerns.
Manziel and Gordon have been seen out together on multiple occasions recently, with the pair even appearing to get tattoos together.
The 23-year-old Manziel defended his partying habits recently, saying he doesn't believe his antics will put off any potential suitors.
"I don't think there's anything wrong with partying, bro," Manziel said. "There's a difference between partying and being out of control."
Manziel's off-field issues caused the Browns to part ways with the former first-round pick in March after just two seasons.
Manziel has since been linked to the Denver Broncos, however, it was reportedly more of a private conversation between he and head coach Gary Kubiak than genuine interest in him as a player
Because of his continuous partying and the pending grand jury decision on whether he will be charged for a Jan. 30 incident in which he's accused of assaulting and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend, Manziel is unlikely to find another team soon - especially if teams view his arrangement with Gordon as further proof he remains unable to make smart decisions off the field.
