Report: 49ers to interview Kyle Shanahan for HC job

The San Francisco 49ers will interview Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan for their vacant head coaching position on Friday or Saturday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Shanahan will reportedly also interview with the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, and Jacksonville Jaguars over the two-day period.

The 37-year-old appears to be one of the most in-demand head coaching candidates, which isn't surprising after he crafted the Falcons' offense into the second-ranked in the league and helped propel quarterback Matt Ryan to the best season of his career.

Shanahan has spent the last two years in charge of Atlanta's offense, and has nine years of experience as an offensive coordinator in the NFL overall.
