Deion Sanders working out with AB: 'Can't wait to witness this comeback'
Deion Sanders has been working out with free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown, and the Hall of Fame cornerback has high hopes regarding Brown's future.
"I love him to life and I can't wait to witness this comeback story called A, B, & see," Sanders wrote Sunday in an Instagram post. "I know what I know and I pray you all get to see what I know to be true about Antonio Brown."
Sanders mentioned Brown in a tweet Saturday night.
Brown also practiced with reigning MVP Lamar Jackson in April.
The seven-time Pro Bowl wideout, who will turn 32 in July, last played in the NFL in September 2019 during his lone official appearance as a member of the New England Patriots. Brown signed with the Patriots after being released by the Raiders, though he never suited up for Oakland after several offseason issues.
Brown has been trying to return to the league, but he faces criminal charges after allegedly assaulting the driver of a delivery truck in January. The receiver was charged with felony burglary conveyance, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor criminal mischief in March. The NFL is still reviewing Brown's playing status after separate allegations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct.
