It appears Jamal Adams is trying to return home.
In a video posted to Twitter on Sunday, Adams - a native of Lewisville, Texas - was asked if he was coming to Dallas to join the Cowboys.
"I'm trying, bro," the New York Jets safety replied.
The Cowboys are reportedly one of Adams' eight preferred trade destinations.
Adams - who's entering the fourth year of his rookie deal - requested a trade from the Jets last week after previously voicing his frustration about not getting a lucrative long-term contract extension.
Adams has been elected to the Pro Bowl for two consecutive seasons. He also made his first All-Pro team last year after racking up 75 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, and two touchdowns.
