The NFL announced Monday that the matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will feature as Week 18's Sunday Night Football game.

Both teams are 8-8. The Packers will make the playoffs with a win at Lambeau Field, while the Lions can earn a postseason berth with a victory and a Seattle Seahawks loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

Green Bay and Detroit are two of football's hottest teams right now. The Packers were 4-8 heading into December but have since won four in a row, including Sunday's 41-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

The Lions have lost just two of their last nine games after starting the 2022 season 1-6. Detroit beat Green Bay 15-9 at Ford Field in Week 9.

On Sunday, the NFL announced its Week 18 Saturday slate. The Las Vegas Raiders will host the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 7, while the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans will collide at 8:15 p.m. ET in a win-and-in matchup.
