New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers said Friday that he and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels have called off their $10,000 bet on who will be named Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Nabers said he's been educated on the NFL's sports gambling policy since making the bet.

The first-round wideout initially revealed the wager on an episode of "The Pivot" podcast.

"(Nabers) wasn't supposed to tell nobody," Daniels subsequently said on the "All Facts No Brakes" podcast. "We got a little something going on."

The 2022 version of the NFL's gambling policy prohibited "private wagers between teammates, family and friends, or others." However, the 2023 version doesn't appear to have explicit rules on private bets, according to Nicki Jhabvala and Mark Maske of The Washington Post.

The league office didn't respond to questions about whether the bet would violate its gambling policy, per ESPN's John Keim.

Daniels was drafted second overall by the Commanders, while the Giants took Nabers with the sixth pick.
