Justin Jefferson said Friday that he's been doing everything he can with the Minnesota Vikings to ensure he won't suffer another in-season injury in 2024.

"I'm so scared for it to happen again that I've been overly cautious about it," Jefferson said, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN. "Just trying to take care of my body in the right way, just trying to find new things that I can implement in my day-to-day life that can better help me throughout the season. I've definitely been working on my hamstrings a little bit more, making sure that I'm injury-proof."

Jefferson put on a show through his first three NFL seasons, claiming three All-Pro berths and one Offensive Player of the Year award. However, a hamstring injury cost the former first-rounder seven games in 2023.

The Vikings let Jefferson rest Wednesday during training camp before a scheduled day off Thursday.

"We want to make sure his training camp progression is the right kind of progression coming off a first time for him having the type of injury he had," Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell explained.

Jefferson, 25, still finished last season with 68 catches for five touchdowns and 1,074 yards, his fourth 1,000-yard campaign in as many years.
