Bears' Johnson: NFL Top 100 snub is 'bullshit'

Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson is unhappy with being left off the NFL's Top 100 players list.

"It's bullshit," Johnson said Sunday of the omission, per Courtney Cronin of ESPN. "There ain't no way. I don't know how you make Pro Bowl, All-Pro and not (be) a Top 100 guy. I could've been 101 I guess, but goddamn, (New York Jets quarterback) Aaron Rodgers didn't even play in the season and he was voted (92nd)."

The second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections were the first of the 25-year-old's career. The honors came on the back of a four-interception, 10-pass deflection campaign. Johnson also forced a fumble, scored his first career pick-6, and had 36 total tackles in 14 games.

"It's disrespectful because I go out there, line up, and I know receivers go out there and can't say that I'm not one of best players that they play against," Johnson said.

Johnson allowed 279 yards and two touchdowns while allowing a 55.2% completion rate and 50.9 passer rating when targeted last season.

The Utah product said the snub will "100%" motivate him for the Bears' 2024 campaign, which kicks off Sept. 8 against the Tennessee Titans.
