The 49ers and Steelers continue to negotiate a potential trade involving Brandon Aiyuk, but San Francisco isn't satisfied with Pittsburgh's offers so far, sources told Dianna Russini, Matt Barrows, and Mike DeFabo of The Athletic.

The Niners would reportedly like the Steelers to include a wide receiver as part of the deal.

It was reported Monday that Pittsburgh was no longer a possible destination for Aiyuk because the team declined to meet San Francisco's trade terms. However, the Steelers reportedly re-engaged in trade talks with the 49ers on Tuesday, joining the Cleveland Browns. The Patriots were also considered a top suitor, but the second-team All-Pro wideout apparently isn't interested in joining New England.

Pittsburgh and San Francisco are not in the process of finalizing an Aiyuk trade, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, who reported earlier on Wednesday that the Steelers wouldn't give up a player as part of an agreement.

The Steelers do have significant depth at positions like linebacker and running back. However, they entered training camp with questionable depth at wide receiver after trading former 1,000-yard wideout Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers in the offseason.

George Pickens headlines Pittsburgh's WR depth chart, which also features Van Jefferson, Calvin Austin III, and Roman Wilson, among others. The Steelers used a Day 2 pick on Wilson in April, but the third-round rookie is currently considered week-to-week due to an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, the Browns are reportedly expected to include five-time Pro Bowl wideout Amari Cooper in a potential trade to land Aiyuk.
